IT’S TIME FOR #BigDraftCLE!

The NFL Draft is taking place in Cleveland this year, and Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies across Ohio are teaming up to draft the next class of all-star volunteers for #BigDraftCLE, a mentor recruitment and awareness campaign. Because the NFL is drafting players, and we are drafting all-star Bigs!

GET OFF THE SIDELINE AND INTO THE GAME!

Our goal for #BIGDRAFTCLE is to build awareness around the need for mentors. Just create a social media post before April 29th using #BigDraftCLE! You can share one of our posts, use a photo of you and your mentor/mentee, or post a video sharing your why! You can also “draft” someone to:

  • Sign up to become a Big

  • Tell their own mentoring story

  • Tag someone else who can participate, too

Anyone can participate! Think of this as a way to thank and appreciate an amazing supporter/volunteer at your organization or tag someone—friend, mentor—who can help us recruit Bigs and raise awareness!

This #BigDraft season, you have a tremendous opportunity in front of you - to not only impact a child’s life today, but to transform their potential for tomorrow. Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies across Ohio are looking for volunteers to step up to be a Big, and make an impact on a child in their community.

We have opportunities for everyone, we are always looking for more men to be mentors. We have boys ready and waiting to be matched with a role model. So - tell the guys you know to sign up to become Bigs. They can do all the things they love to do already, like see movies, play video games, and go hiking. Only now, they’d get to enjoy it with a child who can truly benefit from it. 

More than 70% of our children waiting for a Big are boys, but only 3 out of every 10 inquiries to volunteer come from men. Research shows that having the positive influence of a Big Brother makes a real difference in a boy’s life. So join the thousands of volunteers who give a young person someone to look up to.
